California Shutter Company talks up shutters

Tuesday, 1 March 2011 11:17 AM

The California Shutter Company (CSC) is encouraging homeowners to give their abodes a fresh look this spring by replacing blinds and curtains with one of their many ranges of shutters.

Both a practical and stylish way to update the home, CSC claim that shutters can be designed to suit every room in the house as well as being made to fit in any unusual space.

As well as providing a chic alternative to the more traditional blinds or curtains, shutters can also be cost effective in terms of retaining heat and allow much more control over how much light enters any given room.

Sam Tamlyn from CSC says: “The spring time is associated with spring cleaning and by installing shutters in your windows you’re making life easier as they are easy to wipe clean and don’t absorb dust like curtains or blinds do.

“But don’t go thinking they are just for the spring time; shutters provide an extra layer of insulation to keep you warm in the winter months.”

“Shutters also offer you a great deal of flexibility, you can choose between different slat sizes, different colours and different panel designs. So, if you already have shutters there are plenty of options to choose from.
