Warming LED lighting even when dimmed

Wednesday, 2 February 2011 10:46 AM

The new Polestar downlight from John Cullen offers the warming glow of traditional halogen lights, combined with the energy saving properties of LED lighting, meaning you can effortlessly create a cosy atmosphere in your home.

Most LED downlights give off a flat, cold light when dimmed, but the Polestar’s AmbiDim technology gradually increases the warmer tones as it is dimmed, without using any light filters.

The Polestar has three beam widths, meaning it is suitable for use throughout the house. Furthermore, the Polestar’s energy saving qualities are highly attractive as the bulbs only use 8W of power.

Furthermore, all products in the John Cullen range produce light that falls within the MacAdam ellipse, meaning that 95 per cent of people will be unable to notice any distortion of colours or any unwanted blue or green hues, which can often result from using LED lighting.

Best of all, prices for the John Cullen Polestar LED downlight start at around £80, meaning you don’t need to spend a fortune to give your light scheme a stylish makeover.
